No Spend Challenge Tracker

For a set stretch — a weekend, a week, a month — you spend nothing beyond the essentials you agree on up front. Mark each day you stick to it and log roughly what you would have spent. That number is money you can move straight into a goal.

How it works

  1. Write your "allowed" list first: rent, bills, groceries from a list, fuel for work. Everything else waits.
  2. Each evening, mark the day as a no-spend day or a spend day.
  3. Log what you would normally have spent that day — coffee, takeout, impulse buys.
  4. At the end, transfer the "kept" total to a savings goal so it does not quietly disappear.

Tips that keep it going

  • Unsubscribe from shop newsletters for the length of the challenge.
  • Plan free things for weekends, or they become the danger zone.
  • A spend day is not a failure; it is data. Keep going.

Questions people ask

What counts as spending in a no spend challenge?

You decide before you start. Most people allow housing, utilities, debt payments, a planned grocery list and transport to work, and pause everything discretionary: eating out, entertainment, shopping and subscriptions.

How much can a no spend month save?

It is whatever your discretionary spending normally is. The tracker adds up what you log so you see your own number rather than a guess.
