GoalSpark is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your financial goals and savings progress are deeply personal, which is why we've designed our application to keep your data completely private and under your control.

Data Storage: 100% Local

All your data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. This includes:

• Your savings goals (names, amounts, target dates)
• Contribution history and amounts
• Milestone achievements
• Personal preferences and settings

None of this data is ever sent to our servers or any third party. Your financial information stays on your device, always.

No Account Required

GoalSpark doesn't require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal information. You can start tracking your goals immediately without any registration.

What We Don't Collect

• No personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• No financial account information
• No tracking cookies for advertising
• No behavioral analytics or user profiling
• No third-party data sharing

Analytics

We use privacy-focused Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand basic site usage (page views, referrers). This analytics tool does not track individual users, does not use cookies, and does not collect personally identifiable information.

Data Export and Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• Export: Download your data anytime in CSV or JSON format for backup or analysis
• Delete: Clear all your data from your browser's settings or by clearing browser data
• Transfer: Export and import your data to move between devices

Shared Progress Links

If you choose to generate a shareable progress link, the goal data is encoded in the URL itself (not stored on our servers). Anyone with the link can view the specific goal's progress. Only share these links with people you trust.

Children's Privacy

GoalSpark does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since all data is stored locally and we don't require registration, there's no information for us to collect.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of GoalSpark after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
